Realistically, what can be done to stop the sabotage of the post office?

I'm really worried that trump's strategy of using the post office to steal the election will work. To stop the post office coup d'état would require congressional action, and we all know that McConnell won't allow that. There isn't time for a court battle (and Scotus may decide in trump's favor anyway). Public outrage won't stop it. trump doesn't care about how brazen and obvious the corruption is as long as he wins.

Faith in the integrity of elections is necessary for a democracy. I think we may actually be witnessing the end of the United States republic. I hope someone can convince me I'm wrong.

7. I never said I wouldn't vote, I have voted in every election since 1976. I campaigned for Mcgovern

before I was able to vote. This time I will use an absentee ballot and drop it off at the board of elections. Age and health prevent me from marching in the the South Florida heat, but I will contribute financially. As for being a GOP lurker, I think my history on DU disproves that. However I am still scared for our republic for the reasons I mentioned. And my original question remains; How can trump's post office plot be stopped?

and they have to be returned...also maybe if we vote in person Trump will lose that night and we won't have to listen to his whining.

3. If PO has in fact stopped removing mail boxes, sorting machines, etc.,

what makes you think the ballots won’t get handled?

The PO has warned state election officials to get ballots out in plenty of time, voters have or should be warned to request and return ballots early, better yet use ballot drop boxes available in most state. If voting in-person, do it early where you can.

The postal workers that actually handle the mail, lean Democratic. I trust they’ll get the job done. The load is significantly less than Christmas.

Finally, delayed ballots are going to impact GOPers too. We can argue which party is impacted more, but it’s not like like GOPer ballots are only ones that will get through. There are too many whistleblowers in waiting for that to succeed.

Just vote, encourage others to do so, contribute what you can. I don’t think trying to convince every Democrat that it’s rigged is productive at this point.

Trump doesn't care what damage this does to the Republican Party as long as when the dust clears, he is still in office. That's why calling the House back by Pelosi was a good move. Instead of campaigning in there districts, they have to go to Washington and address this.

I am also terrified. I have signed every petition, written to every congresscritter.

I really think it's up to those in the Red states to convince their congresscritters to take action. Especially those up for re-election.

Amy McGrath making it a talking point might shake up McConnell. Consider writing to her campaign office.

Right now, the Lincoln Project is shaking up the moderates in the Republican party and more and more Republicans will not vote for Trump. I think this is key. Even if there was a diabolical effort to lose ballots from zipcodes that run Democratic, they will not be able to stop Republicans in red zipcodes from voting for Biden.

Now, it's up to the Democratic Party to convince people to drop off ballots or vote in person if they can. If you have ever seen the "Democratic machine" in action, you have seen them go door to door, convincing people to vote, helping people vote, driving people to the polls, helping people make a plan.

This year, we may leave messages on door knobs, but we WILL reach our people.

We are a people driven party, we have volunteers and foot-soldiers.

You have to have more faith that we will win, even in the face of the obstacles Trump is throwing in our way.

Now... I just have to believe what I just said. Wish me luck!
