Pelosi Calls House Back to Act on Postal 'Sabotage'

I cannot post anything in LBN https://politicalwire.com/2020/08/16/pelosi-calls-house-back-to-act-on-postal-service-sabotage/

Speaker Nancy Pelosi told Democrats on Sunday evening that the House will be called back from August recess — likely on Saturday, Axios is told — to act to “save the Postal Service.”

:In a “Dear Democratic Colleague” letter, Pelosi said: “Alarmingly, across the nation, we see the devastating effects of the President’s campaign to sabotage the election by manipulating the Postal Service to disenfranchise voters.”

And then have the Sgt@Arms go arrest him and drag his ass into the chamber in shackles if need be. Let trump go cry to the court if he wants; DeJoy can sit locked in the coatroom for 2 weeks while the DC circuit hears argument for all I care.

I'm sick of this shit from the WH. Congress is a CoEqual branch of government and I'd like them to start acting like it.

and blatant election tampering as well. It is most definitely an attack on our country. Mme Speaker is about to take care of business defending the nation and keeping her oath. I trust her, and her allies in the House, to get the job done.

Trump doesn't give a shit, as long as when the dust clears, he is still in office. They need to get the Republicans in congress to put pressure on the administration.

This week is going to be a tense one.
People are not getting virus-related stimulus relief, deaths are horrendous, push for children to return to school is already fraught with positive virus cases, Dumpy is full-on attacking our postal service and election, and Republicans are missing in action--just for starters.

I hope they can. No one is going to trust the election results unless this is fixed. Plus, the other problems it is starting to cause are going to hit everyone else soon. I'm already having problems. I miss my regular mailman. I know that much. He was great.

Our formerly regular mailman told DH a couple of months ago that newbies were being inserted into established routes off and on. He said one such was delivering mail to a burnt-out lot (we had a major regional fire 2 1/2 years ago) where the mail box had been spared by the fire. Everyone’s route got shifted all around, too.

It’s been nuts for awhile.

Has it been just since then, or before? I'm curious.

I really do think a lot of the "problems" with the USPS were created by Trump and his yes man appointee. The USPS has always been here and always done its job until just recently.

Trump kept on about how there were major problems with it for voting, when before it had never had problems handling absentee ballots and other mail in voting in states that have had it. Now, he is CREATING problems to make people doubt it.

With one of his yes men in there messing everything up, I do doubt it now. I did not before. They had always done their jobs and done them well before. Get him out of there and let them do their jobs. They are being used by Trump as political pawns. I'd hate to be in their position right now. Their lives disrupted this way and the extra stress added this way, all because Trump wants to pitch a temper tantrum that we don't all want to bow down to him.

That is why I am calling upon the House to return to session later this week to vote on Oversight and Reform Committee Chairwoman Maloney’s “Delivering for America Act,” which prohibits the Postal Service from implementing any changes to operations or level of service it had in place on January 1, 2020.

Just stopping the carnage is not enough. Mme Speaker is demanding a return of service to that before the tampering started. She and the House Dems are on this.

Sun Aug 16, 2020, 09:59 PM

a need make himself out to look like the tough guy wheeling and dealing. A way to create a show down scenario about like the shut down meeting with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer- recall Schumer saying you will take responsibility for the shut down,Trump responded I'll take full responsibility than looked the other way than said, the Schumer shut down. All part of his show. Now, you may recall Trump during his campaign before the election speaking to the Boy scouts ,the story about momentum- never lose that he said, well ,he lost it. All of it. He can't even stage his rally's with paid participants because- IT IS WHAT IT IS.

He cannot hold up to debate ,so what's he got ? What they are doing is trying to create the perfect situation for he himself to function within. Since he will not go to the congress or the senate the representatives must come to him in his safe zone at the white house. Since he cannot take his show on the road ,he will have it brought it to him. Nothing complicated about it ,it's just a dirty Trump trick. However it is force of hand that requires a swift decisive response. FORCE OF HAND . Wouldn't you really like to see Trump removing himself from office rather than be the first president impeached twice in four years this close to the elections ? Swift Decisive Response/action.
