boards what the safe, certain ways are to get their votes in and on time and counted?
I dont know what those ways are since criminals are decimating the USPS, but what can we do?
Can we get someone to pay for prime time PSA's explaining how to get your vote in and not die from the virus doing it?

(44,962 posts)Vote by mail is the safest way to vote during a pandemic.
If that is destroyed, then we are in big trouble.

(14,565 posts)Biden needs to emphasize to mail the vote early. He should lead off the first debate with that theme.
The vote is going to happen by mail so as many as possible need to grasp the need to do it soon. Even something like the USPS slowdown is more specialized knowledge than widespread theme. If Biden doesn't emphasize early mailing and get every news organization mentioning it constantly, tens of millions will wait until Halloween to mail, just like always.
Nobody is going to use the drop off methods or other stuff suggested here. The fix has to involve real world meaningful numbers and not feel good crap.

(21,859 posts)give enough credit to the everyday, not on DU daily, democratic voters out there. I do know that from a lot of them (these non-DU democratic voters), that they are thoroughly disgusted w/ the POS in the WH, and that in almost all cases, they are saying that wild horses couldn't keep them from the polls.
Evidence already shows this being that in Michigan where the republicans denied a safe voting venue for their voters (impacting their own voters too, when forcing ALL voters to go vote in person), and in other primaries we've seen, the voter participation numbers have been through the roof (and of course in November, 2018, voters got out and voted and regained control of the House of Representatives into democratic hands, as a counterweight to republican excesses).
Most if not all of the states will ensure that their voting processes are safe for their voters, and will tell their voters that the polls will be safe, I've already seen this in MO, w/ regards to the recent primary elections held here in MO. I'm sure that this is true in other states too.
