Congratulations to Joe Biden's VP pick!!!

Lawrence stated tonight that Biden's vetting team has disbanded. we'll probably know who she is by this time tomorrow. Whoever she is, I'm beyond thrilled!

People say the VP pick is not consequential. In normal general election years I would tend to agree, with certain notable exceptions. (Look at the boost of excitement Palin brought to the McCain ticket before the world found out live on TV that she's dumb as a bag of rocks.)

What I do hope is that part of the reason the VP pick is taking so long is that Team Biden is considering rolling out members of his cabinet at the same time he announces the VP pick (or shortly thereafter). And that many of those cabinet choices are the same women from the VP short-list. (Instead of Romney's tone-deaf "binders full of women", we could have...dare I hope...a CABINET Full of women! Women with experience! Women of color! Women who know how to work together! Women who represent half of this country and should represent at least half of our elected and administrative officials!!! Ahhhhhhh!!! (Howard Dean scream)!!!

1. Whoever she may be.

I do have very strong feelings about who I'd like to see picked and who I'd absolutely not want to see picked, but I will not utter one word of criticism over the choice.

11. The VP choice only has to be as prepared as Mike Pence was the day he took the office.

Not a high hurdle by any means.

13. Hmm. With that as the bar I could be VP.

Alas, I'm not a woman of color. Oh, darn.

5. Whoever she is we need to stand behind her! Stop the sexist jabs i.e. "She's too ambiguous"

And other such B.S. Whoever she is we know has the skills and trust of Biden.

8. Rolling out his Cabinet picks is a great idea.

People will see that he'll have a lot of competent people around him. He'll make superb picks that will make the Dotard's gang of thieves look like the total idiots and grifters they are.

10. I'd hold off on Cabinet. They would become immediate targets for attack.

Don't fire all your guns at once.

Like it or not, we're competing in a reality TV world. Think of the next three months as a Season. Build the suspense and dole out the surprises one at a time.

17. He won't do them all at once, not along with the VP. Maybe

a couple or few key ones before or at the convention?

A big argument for is that people can be reminded of what a competent, ethical government looks like and that the next government will start seeming real and possible. Prospective appointees can talk about what they should and will do to restore general wellbeing and prosperity and decency and fairness in government.

That's going to be really important. Also, it's possible that a couple/few of his VP candidates could show up there, both as regular cabinet and specially created positions.

This agitprop lie below, claimed to be a tweet by Ocasio-Cortez, shows why we really need future administration officials speaking out, not just the media (horrors!) and congressional leaders discussing their battles. Of course Ocasio-Cortez would never say this but tens of millions who also have it popping up in their media don't know that and won't check:

Itís vital that Governors maintain restrictions on businesses until after the November Elections because economic recovery will help Trump be re-elected. A few business closures or job losses is a small price to pay to be free from his presidency. #KeepUsClosed
