I suspect the main one is because they are obeying the training they have absorbed from listening to right wing media that teaches that people need to oppose taxes on the wealthy and that to do it will make their lives better so they do not have to struggle to make ends meet.
They are gullible fools for believing that though because high taxes on the wealthy is not what is causing them to struggle to make ends meet.
After all take the minimum wage for example.
In 1956 the federal minimum wage was $1.00 and currently it is now $7.25 however when you calculate the inflation from 1956 to 2020 the federal minimum wage should actually be $9.48 and that is just the minimum wage so workers have lost tons of ground on wages which is why they are struggling to make ends meet.
Why? Because almost ever single company including ones like Publix that supposedly pay its workers more than alot of its competitors are choosing to force their workers to suffer and struggle to do things like pay their rent and buy food for their children in order to siphon as much money off for those at the higher corporate level as well as for the stockholders.
And who benefits most among those stockholders? Its not the little guy with 1000 or less shares its the wealthy most of whom were born into it.

We can't get aid because Republicans don't want to borrow more money.

I understand.

We don't have to borrow any more money.

Just tax the folks that have been stealing everything in sight since Reagan unleashed his trickle down fraud.

It has been 40 years since the super rich paid any real taxes.

If you are poor it is not because of Welfare Queens driving Cadillacs. Hate to break it to ya.
