And she is lying about her "Harvard" education too.
Chanel's personal website makes multiple references to her "Harvard" education. As it turns out, she actually attended the Harvard Extension School, not the university. While classes are taught on campus, often by Harvard professors, the extension school is pretty much open to the public. I guess that means that the old men playing chess in Washington Square Park can say they went to NYU, since they overhear classes taught by professors who want to be fun and take their lecture outside in the spring. Love that for everyone, to be honest, although I'm sure Chanel would consider public and affordable

And her dad is a real peach too.
Well, this is definitely a reason to change your name. According to the Daily Mail, Chanel's father has gone by multiple monikers in the past, including "Christopher Preboth, Dan Ryan, Danford Nmi Dayn-Ryan, Michael David Ryan, David Michael Ryan, and most recently Dann O Ryan." He's been involved in dozens of lawsuits accusing him of defrauding investors out of millions by lying about properties, inflating their value, and then selling them dilapidated buildings. He also masqueraded as a lawyer, but uh, wasn't licensed to practice law in Texas, where he and his would-be clients were doing business.

My daughter is facing 14 days of dorm jail at her University because we are from a plague state. If FL drops below 15% in Wednesdays numbers, she gets a pardon.
Of course, our whole testing system was thrown out of whack this week because of a hurricane we didn't have so who knows what the numbers will be.

If you want to get a coronavirus test from the state, youd better get it done by 5 p.m. Thursday. All state-supported drive-thru and walk-up COVID-19 testing sites will temporarily close right after due to threat of Tropical Storm Isaias.
That means popular testing sites will be closed until Tuesday morning, by state order.
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. For the second day in a row, the COVID-19 testing site at Tropicana Field closed early as supplies ran out due to high demand.
The new site opened on Monday at 7 a.m. and closed just over an hour later. The site closed around the same time on Tuesday, according to BayCare.
snip
You can only get tested at the site if you are showing symptoms, have a doctor's note, or are a medical professional/first responder. If none of those apply, you will be turned away from testing.
BayCare officials say 357 people were tested before capacity was exhausted on Monday

But, keep in mind, death reports go back as far as 2 months ago and still trickle in.
And, I've seen the AHCA site for Active Covid hospitalizations dropping steadily so perhaps those numbers were a bit of a data dump

(5,526 posts)But isn't me that is making that determination. It is the Ohio Health Department. They have set the threshold for 15% positive testing rate as a cut off. I have no idea what will happen to the number. In fact, I can't even tell where Ohio gets their numbers from since they don't match what the Florida DOH publishes (yeah don't get me started on that)
My daughter is extraordinarily careful so she will be cautious no matter what. I would just rather her have the freedom to take solitary walks rather than be stuck in her room by an arbitrary edict.

(65,012 posts)The aggregators do not get their numbers from the federal government.
They get the data directly from county departments of health.
Worldometer, Johns-Hopkins, NIH, multiple insurance companies, and others are getting data unfiltered by HHS.
The data transmission links are well established.
All that has changed is data sent to the federal government goes to HHS instead of CDC.
The Florida numbers are down because they temporarily closed state testing locations over concern about the hurricane.
Fewer tests, fewer cases.
Deaths are not necessarily linear by day. You could have 1,200 one day, then 900 for 2 days and still be at 1,000 per day.
That's why many states are using positivity and 7 day moving averages for decision making. It cuts the noise in the data.

While attending the Harvard Extension School, Chanel met her fiancé, a former Navy officer who also has a penchant for name-changing. His name is Bob Sykes, but attempted an unsuccessful republican senate bid in 2017 under the name Courtland (apparently it's his middle name). But, Bob or Courtland, Chanel is smitten, especially with his 1950s conservative ideals of womanhood. In a 2018 Facebook post, whatever-his-name-is denounced feminists as "she-devils" and said, "I want to come home to a home-cooked dinner at six every night, one that she fixes and one that I expect my daughters to learn to fix after they become traditional homemakers and family wives."
