I will be reluctant However, if the money does not go directly to the US Postal Service.
Does anyone here happen to know if that would be the case? Will my purchase go directly into the US Postal Service coffers?

(13,074 posts)Many independent retailers sell stamps in partnership with the USPS in the effort to extend their retail footprint. They usually buy stamps at cost and mark up the final price.

Just kidding (sort of) I have no idea how that works. I kinda doubt anything the government takes in goes 'directly' to any particular one thing.

Or buy the stamps, what ever floats your boat.

(23,140 posts)...and have some money in savings, you can buy USPS money orders. It puts cash in their coffers, and stays with them until you cash the MO. I currently have $3,000 in MOs in my safe drawer that ain't doin' nothin' but providing the USPS with liquidity. If enough people do that, maybe we can give 'em a good lift.

Theyve been required since Bush to set aside billions annually to fund employee retirements 75 years in advance so they couldve simply been given their own money. Instead they have additional debt and Trumps guy slowing down service so customers choose their competitors.

(4,533 posts)I love the post office. I am semiretired, and work part time. I do my work thru the post office 300 feet away. Without them my income would be cut by half. I need them to be strong.
