... me that McConnell doesn't authorize it for the Senate. But the House? Is there a rationale published somewhere?

(1,268 posts)1000 tests for 100 Senators and 435 Reps. Even if you exclude Ron Paul, who claims he can't get the coronavirus again (Wrong! I can't believe this guy went to med school at Dook.), that is less than one test per person. Plus, as Speaker Pelosi points out, there is no provision made for Capitol staff or Capitol workers.
So this is another empty gesture by Old Fat and Orange, who hoards tests for the foxbots and toadies that might come near HIM.
Of course, BLOTUS could use the defense production act to ramp up production of testing supplies, but he doesn't see any benefit to himself in doing so. He'll save the defense production act for the important stuff - like MEAT.
