We all know he is stealing as much cash as he can. What if, he knows he is going to lose, accepts it and sees that he is dragging down all the Repugs with him? What if, he is doing these things so that the Repugs can finally go on record against him, purposefully, so they can save their election asses at last minute? McCarthy and even LadyLindsey have already gone on record against him today.
What if this is the "series ending twist" of a horrible reality show? Did the R Sens and Reps sit him down and say,"either you are gone, or you do this?"

Im just musing to myself, it seems as plausible as any sane person could assume when dealing with R thinking.

It just doesn't work that way. The fact is trump doesn't give a shit about the republicans. He could care less if they lose their elections, and he doesn't care of the party burns to the ground. It's all about him, period.

He will lay the blame on everyone of them if it will help him in the long run. Also the republicans are not "really" disagreeing with him. When they say "I wish he hadn't said that", that's not really coming out against him.

If they come out and say "we have had enough of his shit, and we are going to stop him from doing more damage," then I would say they are "really" coming out against him!

12. Donald J. Trump has one thing he can do that ensures his personal safety.

He can resign at some time of his choosing and receive a pardon from VP Pence. He could do that now, or he could wait and do it after the election in November. In the meantime, he can continue to attempt to line his pockets in whatever way he can devise.

Trump is gambling with his freedom and, perhaps, his life on his current path. If he can avoid the covid-19 virus and survive until the election, he can simply resign from office during the transition period, take his pardon, and go wherever the Hell he wants to go. He could probably even just traipse off to Florida, Virginia, or New Jersey and probably avoid any state prosecutions, since no President has ever been prosecuted by a state after leaving office.

In the meantime, he can continue to do what he has been doing and throw the nation into turmoil and doubt. And he can do that with total impunity, since the Senate would not convict him in an impeachment trial before his term ends.

So, he can be as crazy as he wants to be. As long as he doesn't get sick from the coronavirus, he'll probably survive to take his pardon and call it a day. We will suffer because of his late-term actions, though. It is well within his power to screw things up even further in the next three months or so. When he's done, he'll quit. He has quit in the past. He will likely quit again.
