Should Trump apologize to Herman Cain's family or at least share some responsibility?

It looks like Herman contracted Covid as a result of attending Trump's rally in Tulsa. Trump held the rally with no social distancing, even though only a third of the seats were in use. He held the rally against CDC guidelines. He held the rally without insisting on the use of masks. He was so fearful of attendees suing him, that they all had to tick a box to agree to a Covid liability waiver.

Still Cain died, and we have no idea how many others contracted the virus at that event or passed it on to others, or died.

Should Trump apologize to Herman Cain's family, or at least share some responsibility?

I feel for his family, and if they wish to turn their anger on trump, who am I to say they shouldn't. But if misinformation and willful denial is the problem, he was part of the problem.

Maybe he can't bring himself to apologize.

But to make a statement to honor the dead is appropriate.
