I am more interested in Cabinet positions other than VP...

The VP must be ready to take over the Presidency at a moments notice but other than that, it is a job about as useful as a bucket of warm piss.

I am more interested in who will be the next Atty General? Who will restore the laws that have been shredded under Trump and Barr?

Who will be the next Secretary of the Treasury? Who will over-see the actions of Wall Street and the stock manipulations now taking place?

Who will be the next Secretary of State? Who can restore the relationships that have protected our people for the last 75 years and that have been decimated by Trump and the Republixans?

The VP choice is important but there are other choices that may be more important and should merit equal attention, in my opinion.

I don't think the vp will have a great advantage as has often happened in the past

There are divisions among democrats that will become more apparent after Trump is gone and we have to focus on climate change, the economy, and our new reality .

But just as Biden had a real job in the Obama administration, I think Joe will give his VP some areas to oversee. So much needs to be repaired after this hideous term.

We need a Grizzly Bear for AG for sure!!

if he's interested.

So much depends on who Biden picks for VP.

Susan Rice would be an amazing Secretary of State IMO.

Kamala Harris would be an amazing AG.

Jay Inslee for Climate Czar.

Almost all of our primary candidates would make splendid cabinet officers, so long as we don't rob the Senate of some of our stars.

There's an abundance of riches out there.

Elizabeth Warren for Sec. of Tresurary
Stacey Abrams for the next Supreme Court nominee
Andrew Yang as Economic Advisor to the President
If not VP pick, Kamala Harris for Attorney General

I am confident Joe will fill his Cabinet with very capable people who KNOW what they are doing.

Nothing against Harris, but why would Joe pick her when she did so poorly in Primaries?

Warren for VP - to bring in far left Bernie folks.

Hillary for AG.

Just from California alone:

Kamala Harris if she is not VP
Adam Schiff
Eric Swalwell
Xavier Becerra (current AG of California)
Ted Lieu

Others: Mary Gay Scanlon, Jamie Raskin, Pramila Jayapal, Hakeem Jeffries, Tish James, AG of NY, Gurbir Grewal AG of New Jersey, and more I'm probably missing.

If, as I assume, he leans heavily on her expertise and experience, she will be a serious power player in the cabinet...likely in an overarching role when coordination on key issues between Departments is important.

A lot of the people being mentioned for VP positions, in my opinion, would be much more useful heading other departments, like you mentioned.

The VP slot should go to who we’d like be a major contender in 2024 or 2028 and beyond.

So, with that in mind, the type of person I see should be the president is one who can build a solid administrative team and who will take the ideas and opinions of those serving in key positions to make the best informed decision they can. The president’s main job is to have a vision for the country and, through the strength of their leadership and character, they lead the nation through making it happen. It might not be the popular position or the easiest, but it’s the best decision given the data and facts.

The best president won’t necessarily be the person with the best ideas, but the person who shows the strongest leadership and best vision for our nation. They take the ideas from the people they surround themselves with and run with them. Charisma and being naturally comfortable in front of the press is vitally important.

In my opinion, Karmala Harris is that person and should be given the VP position. She reeks of leadership and charisma in the media performances I have seen of her. I want her to lead America someday in the future.
