As he took questions from reporters on Tuesday, Biden held notes that were captured by an Associated Press photographer. Harris name was scrawled across the top, followed by five talking points.

Those are all observations Biden has made about Harris before. But they take on new significance following a recent Politico report that one of Bidens closest friends and a co-chair of his vice presidential vetting committee, former Connecticut Sen. Chris Dodd, still harbors concerns about Harris tough debate stage performance and that she hasnt expressed regret.

(630 posts)once hearing Chris Dodd say "we'd handle it differently in a Dodd administration" on a debate stage. Laugh out loud funny, even at the time. Now quit flapping to the tiger beat on the Potomac and help the process play out, quietly.

(11,657 posts)Not sure what that means but the fact that she's important enough to Biden to put her at the top of his talking points makes me think she's likely the pick next week.

(31,170 posts)comments that will and do come up in the media about Senator Harris. They smack the snark down pretty quickly and easily and would make great talking points for anyone on his team fielding the questions about Harris.

(14,565 posts)During the debates that's exactly what Biden needs to do, rely on quick memorable talking points. Don't get trapped into complicated back and forth. These are going to be podium debates. It won't be more respectful sit down style like the Biden/Ryan debate
