Texas economist sez schools should open since most of the people dying in Texas are elderly or Hisp

?s=21

The chief economist for a conservative Texas think tank is facing fierce backlash for a recent racist tweet that said schools should open since most of the people dying from coronavirus in Texas are elderly or Hispanic.

Ginn probably refers to them as spics, wetbacks, or mezkins in private conversations.

TPPF was the brain child of Texas’ own right wing extremist, crazy Evangelical, Jim Leininger. He started it back in the late 90’s. It was an essential entity in getting all of the gerrymandered districts so that Republicans have an unfair advantage.

First of all, full disclosure, I am a Christian and a believer. But I am NOT one of the crazy Evangelicals that think anything they do to become wealthier is a blessing from God.

We have always had crazy Evangelicals in Texas for as long as I can remember, but with the popularity of the mega churches, the numbers escalated and these people have controlled Texas politics for 20+ years now. They justify anything they do by twisting scripture, picking pertinent parts of scripture to justify their position, and by sticking together with those like them. They are without a doubt a brain washed cult.

So, to answer your question which I hope I’m understanding correctly - the typical crazy Evangelicals don’t know that they are evil. They believe they are justified in what they do because all of the others around them are doing the same thing. The rest of us believe that they have hijacked the tenets of Christianity - peace, love, compassion, mercy, etc. - and we don’t agree with their stance. Unfortunately, the crazies still outnumber the rest of us but I hope that will change.

I was just rewatching the speech that Rev. William Barber gave at the 2016 Democratic National Convention. It was a phenomenal speech. In it (and I’m paraphrasing), he talks about those who say so much about what Jesus said so little about yet say so little about what Jesus said so much about. This sums it up in a nutshell in my opinion.

Peace.
