Who are this people? Where do they come from? How dumb are they?
I am out of work because I do not want to die. I am out of work because I do not want to bring the virus home to my wife and kill her.
I am out of work because my job is very Un-safe. I am out of work because my wife and I are both over 60 and have some health conditions this virus takes full advantage of.
I am out of work because I do not want to be a victim of genocide. I am out of work because I don't play Russian Roulette.
Taking away the $600 will not change that. I am sure most Americans feel the same way.

(4,379 posts)Trying to force me to risk my life will cause me to become more defiant. It will backfire and I am sure it is the same for many Americans. Don't Republicans know we are Americans. You can't force an American to do shit. They will rebel.

(772 posts)lay off 1.5 million a week, they must know there are not 1.5 million jobs created in a week no matter how much we want to work.
We're about to see what happens when 20-30 million people stop spending all at once. Businesses that are barely hanging on will see fewer customers. There will be mass migrations of families as they loose their homes are forced to move in with parents...or us older parents in with our kids.
I see nothing but bad from this, and the sh*t really hitting around mid September.

(10,040 posts)The real question is why do they care and why should we? I don't recall any safeguards with PPP over where the money was spent or on what. Hell, we can barely find out who it went to. Why is this line of thinking so important to them only when it's everyday people who need help? I've had enough of it.

(1,178 posts)They make it sound as if they take away the extra $600 that it will force people to go out and get a job. The problem is there's really not that many jobs available!
