A recent social media post by Cedar Park councilman Tim Kelly is not sitting well with local educators.
The post calls teachers "leeches" and says to "fire" those looking to hold off on in-person learning due to COVID-19
The Facebook post, from a page attributed to Place One councilman Tim Kelly, features a link to an opinion piece from the Washington Examiner titled "Cant get out of lockdown? Blame extortion by teachers unions."
In the original caption on the post, Kelly wrote "Stop catering to the leaches [sic]. Fire them and rehire new teachers."
Labor unions for teachers are not prominent in Texas. As a right to work state, teachers in Texas cannot be forced to join unions.

I don't know what the hell that job is, but I bet it's not as valuable to our society as teaching.
Probably pays more, though.
