They opened back up about a month and 1/2 ago with very limited hours and all the safety they could do too. I would go there and eat outside about every other week. My son is in town and I was gonna take him there this AM. But this was on their home web page
this morning.
(Fauci was right no more restaurants.)

We are temporally closing out of an abundance of caution.
We had more than one employee test positive for the virus.
We are delaying re-opening until we have everybody's test results.
We are scheduled to re-open Friday, July, 31st for carry out only and we hope to resume dining room service
on Saturday, August 1st.
When we do re-open, we will do so following the guidance of ODH and the CDC.
Take care and thank you for your support.

(2,220 posts)We dont even do carry out anymore if the food has to pass through an area where people are eating. Last night, we got a fairly good pizza from Gattos. They had their act together.
And Ginthers bright idea of closing everything at 11pm is ridiculous.

(70,291 posts)... all of this is so unnecessary. If Hillary was in her rightful place as President we would not
be going through all of this. Speaker Pelosi was right, "all roads lead to Putin."
BTW Dante's does a good job too.

(2,220 posts)We havent been to Dantes is quite a while but, since Pizza House, our favorite, tries hard but isnt really set up well for distancing (and is always busy), we need to revisit Dantes.
Yes, so unnecessary. We should be getting back to normal for for real instead of whistling past the graveyard and falling into the graves.

(2,196 posts)Something similar to what Ginther is doing-except hes closing bars at 10pm instead of 11. Something about inebriated people letting down their guard in respect to physical distancing. I asked her if that wouldnt prompt peeps to drink more before the 10 oclock final call? Nothing that I know of says a person cant get hammered before 10 or 11!! Doesnt make a lot of sense to me.

(25,750 posts)told me that when the restaurants re-opened there they could not serve alcohol. Same bullshit excuse about people getting inebriated and not distancing. This is a state that only sells liquor through state stores, and they closed down all the liquor stores when they first closed down.
A random semi-related thought: I always thought that closing bars and liquor stores on an election day was truly dumb. After all, if your candidate wins, you want to be able to celebrate. Conversely, if your candidate loses, you may want to drown your sorrows.

(12,209 posts)I have not eaten out at a restaurant yet...just take out. It's just as rampant with COVID-19 here ..still lots of ignorant deniers...I imagine even carry out is a risk...

(31,669 posts)in the 11:00 closing, either. Not like people cant get smashed and let their guard down before 11 pm. That seems to me like trying to put out a house fire with a watering can.
As far as takeout, I think it depends on the establishment. We only patronize maybe two of them who are conscientious taking precautions. I have not been inside a restaurant to dine since late February and dont plan on doing so again for a long time. Next year maybe. If a successful vaccine comes out and enough people get it, that is.
