Many people have been asking to buy me lunch or a beer or coffee. While I truly appreciate the offers rather than buying me anything please support my local Dem club. Hit donate at http://thevillagesdemocrats.com. Thanks!

I have lost my relationship with; 2 daughters, 1 best friend, put a large strain on my marriage. Lost hundreds of friends. Although I regret all and more of these, I would do it all again. Trump must GO!

I told her that in my 72 years I have never been more proud of myself. She said she would continue to offer part of her communion for my soul. Later because I cant keep my thoughts to myself I texted her. I told here that anyone who supports a racist is in fact a racist.

(19,204 posts)"If you're doing what everyone else is doing, you're probably doing something wrong". Mr. McGinty may be in the minority in The Villages because he realizes he's been blessed. The vast majority of those living there had lives of relative ease, and never paid attention to the fact that they had privileges many and others went without. These people never acknowledged the blessings that afforded them their lives of ease. Mr. McGinty gets it. He realizes that but for a few simple twists of fate his life could have been one of racial bias, complete lack of opportunity, and abject hopelessness.
Most people in The Villages are a lot like Donald Trump: They were born halfway between third base and home-plate, but think they themselves hit a home run. They're all "self made" people, just like Donnie Trump. And I'm sure they all consider themselves good christians. They never take a second to think how life must be for those who are less fortunate, who never had the breaks in life that they take for granted.
Hooray for you, Mr. McGinty. You get it.
