I just got done calling mine, and I'm calling them every single day until Trump ceases and desists on these 'snatch squads' - the federal agents in full military gear with unmarked cars that are kidnapping protesters.

Trump doesn't get to do that. It is a violation of Amendments 1, 4 and 5 of the Bill of Rights, and I'm calling my US Congressman (he is male), and my two US Senators every day to protest that. They need to hear about this AND they need to take action against Trump for doing this because our founders created coequal branches of government to make sure stuff like this doesn't happen.

Secondly, I'm urging them not to support any Social Security payroll tax cut as part of the upcoming stimulus. I'm 61 and have paid full boat into Social Security for over 40 years now, and I'm going to depend on that income when I retire. Cutting revenue to the Social Security Trust Fund is bad fiscal policy. In fact it is both mean and stupid.

Please join me and boost the number of regular calls to these people. I'll tell you, we must be getting to them, because Cory Gardner, one of my US Senators hasn't answered his phone in ANY of his offices for weeks. Keep it going. If they have the guts to answer, be polite, be firm and state your case. If they are too cowardly to answer, do like I do and start off with, "Who do you think you're trying to fool...you're not with other constituents. No. You haven't answered your office phone in weeks and it makes me sick. I'm calling for two reasons..."

Anyway, for what it is worth, please join me in calling these people daily. They need to hear it, and I'm sick of a Congress that does not pay attention to the opinions of the American public. It's past time to end that.

Last thing: VOTE in November. Vote Biden, and vote straight blue. Let's send the Republicans the way of the Whigs.

Daily when things are critical or there are important pieces of legislation being debated.

I don't know why it's easier to get people to commit to a day long protest than it is to commit to 20 minutes a week to make a few calls. A friend of mine scolded me for not attending the Woman's March back in 2017. When I asked her, "How many times have you called your rep or senators in the past six months?" she at least had the good grace to say, "Point taken."

I call Gardner every week, if only to leave a message at how incompetent and corrupt the Con is & that maybe the senator should have picked someone with some integrity to stake his political career on, & also how much I look forward to donating time & money to John Hickenlooper's senate campaign.

3. LOL, you and I are probably a big part of the reason his staff doesn't answer the phones anymore.

Cory is a jerk, and the one lame ad they are running against Hick isn't going to work. Although, with the 2018 failure of Initiative 110 and the subsequent 2019 failure of Initiative CC, which would have de-Bruced TABOR, we cannot really count on the 'wisdom' of Coloradans to know when something is desperately needed.

And K-12? The state's been footing a bigger part of the bill out of the general fund each year. It is unsustainable unless we figure out a way to increase the ratio of property tax that comes in from residential properties versus commercial ones.

To my mind, the best thing we could do is hold a constitutional convention and write TABOR and Gallagher out. But it's funny, even though TABOR is unconstitutional based on the fact that if a state legislator cannot raise taxes on our behalf if that is necessary, then they cannot fully represent us, which undermines representative democracy, people I talk to universally don't want them to have that power - to raise taxes. But, to have to hold a plebiscite every time we need to raise revenue is killing Colorado.
