You as their parents are needed. It would be terrible if you died of covid they brought home from school or if they and you inadvertently infect the grandparents, essentially orphaning them.
What would be worse is you losing your child to covid and you are left to pick up the pieces that will never fit back.
Keep your kids out of school.
What good is an education if one isnt alive to use it.
These are life and death decisions. Err on the side of caution.
If trump is telling you to send your kids to school you know you should not do as he says.
He only cares about himself and the economy so he has a chance at re election. And by god if that means you and or you kid or family member dying, why by hell he still demands it.
Do OPPOSITE of everything he says.
If you live in repub area be cautious and paranoid about officials advice as they are likely infected with trumpism politics.

(31,540 posts)I worry about my grandchildren and great grandchildren and the choices their parents will have to make. Some will be able to take advantage of online classes, but not all.
I especially worry about one granddaughter and her husband. To make ends meet, they both need to work. Right now they are doing OK with the extra unemployment benefits that my granddaughter is getting, but if/when those expire, she will need to go back to work and the only way she can do that is if the kids go back to school. What a dilemma.

I dont think I could live with the guilt or self blame.
