I took my ailing dog to Lewes, DE for a couple days. While down there, I stopped at a local Wawa and noticed several good things:
1. Everyone (staff and customers) was wearing a mask. Some had no shoes, but even they had masks.
2. Wawa has new veggie options for breakfast (incorporating Beyond Sausage). No more having to nag them to leave meat off my Sizzli.
3. At Cape Henlopen, 75% of people were wearing masks on the footbridge to the beach. I get there so late, intentionally, that there was no problem staying away from people on the beach itself. It was sunny and windy, so I wasn't too worried. Anyway, I kept my mask on until I got to my spot.

(17,349 posts)I just made beyond burgers with garlic powder and soy sauce mixed in. I put the Beyond sausage on the recently available frozen Just Egg squares (not the liquid in a bottle that you scramble). Makes a great breakfast sandwich treat at home. Not exactly healthy, but at least nobody died for it 🙂

(2,186 posts)They had cage-free eggs by the carton, in paper cartons (or whatever you call the ones that are not styrofoam), for sale. Additional kudos to Wawa that I forgot until you reminded me. And while I'm at it....they have almond & soy milk with their coffee supplies.
I love Wawa
In the local battle between Royal Farms and Wawa, Wawa is the clear winner. The Royal Farms around here, especially near the beaches, are usually dirty, the coffee supplies are ravaged and half empty, and there's a feeling of grease in the air from their nasty chicken operation. I always feel like I smell like chicken grease if I have to go inside for some reason

(2,186 posts)Walked in and got drinks while I was waiting for my takeout. I think it happens a lot around beach places, but I'd prefer they wear shoes. But the masks were good enough for me, these days.
