1. I have heard the MAGATs say

That they are over-reporting deaths. Or doctors are putting Covid-19 on all death certificates now, whether it’s the cause of death or not. Or the numbers from health departments are inaccurate.

Then of course they will say it’s all China’s fault and there’s not much trump could have done about it. Or that there would be even more deaths if not for trumps brilliant handling of the situation....

Etc. etc. you get the idea .....

4. I had to listen to a MAGA rant about this theory over the weekend.

His point: Hospitals get paid more for to treat a Covid death than a "normal" death (whatever that is) so they have a monetary incentive to jack up the number as much as possible. And the insurance companies don't care because they'll just recoup it in premiums. And he's not a lunatic fringe kinda guy - just convinced that these numbers would be "well below the normal flu" if not for hospitals getting higher payments.

Truth is: Over 130,000 Americans are dead that didn't have to be dead.
There are over 20,000,000 unemployed and after 3 plus years,this IS Trump's economy. Natural disasters are part of life. It is up to us to plan for them.
Trump is going to lose the election anyway, so why not try to at least do "something" noble?
