Should tRump be impeached again for obstruction??

Asha Rangappa, an attorney from Yale and CNN commentator said,
"Worth noting that Stone’s admission that he could have incriminated Trump would make Trump’s pardon an act of obstruction, even under Barr’s legal view — Barr (in his dumb long 2018 memo) acknowledged that if POTUS were attempting to conceal evidence, it would be obstruction.
For the same reason is also *no doubt* that Trump’s firing of Comey was clearly obstruction: He was trying to prevent evidence incriminating him from being uncovered, and we know that because Stone has admitted that he had such evidence to give and Trump knew it."

(Asha Rangappa is an American lawyer. She is a senior lecturer at Yale University’s Jackson Institute for Global Affairs and a commentator on CNN. She was previously an Associate Dean at Yale Law School)

Only president to be impeached twice?

If the only point of impeachment is to remove him, yes, you have a point. It won't happen. But it pressures the republican senate and his supporters to defend a commutation of a co-conspirator.

The House sent over an 11 count impeachment. After a trial the Senate only voted on three of them. They failed to convict on any of the three.

This POS redirects our attention every 10 minutes with some new piece of fuckeriness that he gets to choose... take the choosing power away from him and impeach his pathetic, corrupt ass AGAIN just before the election. Why on earth not? Being impeached twice is NOT A CUTE LOOK. And for the GOP Senate to be forced to forgive him again in plain sight... please don't throw me in that briar patch.

Does anyone think that if the situation were reversed that republicans would hesitate to impeach once, twice, or even 3 times if the situation called for it?!

We cannot afford to wait until January! How many of our loved ones will have died by then?? No! Do everything possible to get that sob out now! 🍷

It was the Senate who stopped it before, and they’d do it again. But the main thing is, that afaik there is no time for the House to gear up for a second impeachment.

But maybe I'm asking too much of the good congress people in the House. I think a second impeachment will place him in the record books and make the repubs scratch around for a defence. It would be good if this happened before the mythical Labor day, ditch trump if he hasn't got it together.

I'm kinda enjoying the slow motion crash and burn.

"Corrupt" is using the levers of government for personal benefit. That's what Trump was impeached for. Commuting the sentence of a co-conspirator (essentially) in exchange for that person's silence is a corrupt quid-pro-quo and corrupt use of power.

The remedy is impeachment and removal. Or indictments. Test the law for god sakes. The Democrats need to start playing hardball. It is their duty to protect our constitutional government. These are crimes happening in front of us!!! We cannot do something "later".

This is such blatant corruption that the House must take it up.

They knew in advance what the Senate response would be {after the first impeachment]*; we all did. They did their duty nevertheless.

Now his corruption must be called out again and the Repubs made to defend him again.

Impeachment during the hype of an election will be a gift for him. It won't help us...and shit, may even hurt us.

With that said, just keep collecting facts, evidence, etc. in the background. If he suddenly managed to get a second term, we are going to need all of that to shiv him where it hurts. His second term will be preoccupied for almost two years on investigations, etc. And by then, even his taxes will be out. ...not that I think there is anything important in them....it will just state the fact that he's not a billionaire which will be a massive hit on his ego.

Democrats should focus on winning the whole shebang in November. If we can make Trump a civilian again, his ass is going to be indicted as soon as he gets off the plane . . . unless, of course, he's getting off in Moscow.

On a personal level, I'd love to see it happen. Good to impeach fascists, and would love to see him having the distinction of being the first president to ever be twice impeached.

I also realize that a 2nd impeachment isn't going to go any further than the first with this Senate.

3rd, I realize that any proceeding will have an impact on the election this year. I trust Rep. Pelosi to make the hard decision, based on all the information she, and our party have available that gives us the best chances we can get. I trust that if a second impeachment will help us, she will make it happen. If it has more chance of hurting our chances, she won't. There's certainly more than enough evidence out there to do 2nd, 3rd, and probably even a 4th impeachment of this monster at this point if it benefits the country, people, and party to go forth with it.

How quickly could Nancy get articles of impeachment to the Senate? Could they be fast tracked? McConnell wanted to fast track a vote to acquit. Could he fast track a vote to convict? My thought is that for this to work it would have to move quickly. I know the impeachment rules are not meant for that...But what if there was an emergency? What if acting deliberately would put the country in harm's way? While there is no precedent for this, I think the times call for unprecedented action.

It only works if you had the guaranteed votes in the Senate. Having all 100 votes to convict would be ideal. But there are some real bozos who won't go for it.

There's no point. We know how it will end and we won't gain anything with it.

Instead, Biden just need to take a page out of Trumps book. Tell everyone that he will instruct the AG to investigate Trump for this along with every other potential crime related to elections and the Russia investigation.
