The mendacity of police officers never ceases to amaze me, not to mention the extensive luxuries they get to enjoy as a result of tax-payer money.
As The Washington Post reports, 150 police officers from the Minneapolis Police Department have started the process of filing disability claims that will allow them to leave the force and still receive pay, on the basis that they are suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
The cause of their newfound disability? The protests against George Floyds gruesome killing by Minneapolis police.

(14,705 posts)all macho and brave when it comes to an unarmed person alone. Not so much when they're on the wrong side of history and being held responsible. Chicken shits.

Jayus! Such fragile snowflakes. They can dish out time and again while murdering black men , women and children.
Snowflakes and drama queens.
You can stuff your PTSD.

(63,221 posts)What a bunch of whining little cowards. THEY are suffering from PTSD? What about the people that they terrorize on a regular basis? What do they get?
If I lived there I would be phoning and writing my local officials to have these whiners permanently fired from the force with no pension or benefits. They are absolutely useless and deserve nothing.

(3,557 posts)Part of the diagnosis is a delayed onset and/or that PTSD symptoms have persisted for at least 6 months.
I wouldnt worry too much about the likelihood of them being granted disability. I went through the process myself and you need quite a bit of proof, like suicide attempts, multiple psychiatric hospitalizations, a history of problems at work, issues with relationships at home,... basically, your life has to be complete shit.
