(4,444 posts)No prohibition in the Constitution on the Presidents power to pardon. The framers likely considered that would be in the area of a high crime or misdemeanor. While they were brilliant framers, they didnt couldnt have anticipated an entire party going along with that level of corruption.
Were all screwed.

Clinton's library received a large infusion of cash from Marc Rich.
Plenty of examples of campaign contributors and supporters also receiving pardons (Armand Hammer).
