In late summer 2015, I went to him and said, We have to stop this guy. Hes a billionaire. He could fund his own campaign. The hedge bro looked at me and laughed: Trumps not a billionaire. Im a billionaire. Trump is a clown, living on credit.
I was reminded of that by Trumps Twitter meltdowna hissy-fit, foot-stomping ragefest against the Supreme Courtafter winning a major portion of one case over his mysterious tax returns.
He understands that when his taxes are unraveled before a New York grand jury and the inner workings of his multifarious business schemes are brought into the light of day, the picture wont be of a successful multibillionaire mogul turned president, but one of that clown, living on credit, a third-rate real-estate developer with a first-rate talent for fleecing banks and vendors.

(2,031 posts)...and I would add to that list, VOTERS. That orange con man pulled off an absolutely stunning, breathtaking con job on the American electorate in November 2016. I feel confident he won't be able to pull that off again, but there's still almost four months left, that's a lot of time.
As for getting to examine the orange con man's financial records, I'll believe that when I see it happen, because another thing he's really good at is tying things up in the courts FOREVER, and now the Supreme Court just kicked part of that back down to the lower court ... and the legal wrangling continues. Did I say FOREVER?
I hope you're right, that we'll get to examine his financial records soon, but as I said, I'll believe it when it actually happens.
