We've been gaslighted for far too long by folks saying that unions are bad, as the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. And the middle class disappears.

It was the early 80's, Dad finally got the good union job he'd been after for a while. We moved from a trailer court to a House. I got to wear Levi's and nice tennis shoes instead of generic stuff. Most importantly we now had excellent insurance. It was literally a life saver for my Mom. She had some major medical problems. My family would have not have had anything with all the crippling bills. We would not have been able pay, or been forced to file bankruptcy. I can't hardly imagine what my life could have been like without my Dad's good Union job. I've seen the other side from people I grew up with, it wasn't pretty.

11. Need to roll back "right to work" laws

State by state so union membership can be vastly increased. That takes state legislatures controlled by Democrats. And Democratic governors to sign the legislation.

I sometimes get exasperated with Dems who vote only in a Presidential election. Need to vote in every election; city, school board, county, state - every office every opportunity - for Democrats only, up and down every ballot.

We cannot undo all the damage Repubs have done in every nook and cranny of the country, since Reagan fired the striking air traffic controllers, by electing a Democratic President and ignoring all the other elections for four years. If that had been possible Obama would have fixed it all. Biden will only be able to blunt the trajectory modestly by himself. To actually apply real remedies for the growth of inequality and injustice he will need back up by elected Dems, in high and low offices, all across the country
