(1,399 posts)They said she'd be dead from Parkinson's by December 2016
Next time someone tells you Joe is too old remind them of what was being said about Hillary 4 years ago.

(1,206 posts)but generally speaking if it were a man being referred to, I wonder if it would matter how he looks.
Again, not looking for trouble - honestly just asking.

(1,150 posts)I personally would be pointing out what they said, versus how he ended up being. I cannot speak for anyone else, but I would be talking about a man, in the same situation. I would maybe hope some outsiders would be paying attention to the propaganda from last time and dismissing it, because of this. This time around.

(1,206 posts)followed by a comment about the POTUS we could have had.
If it were John Kerry I doubt anyone would have said "He looks fantastic !! What a POTUS we could have had" - it just strikes me as odd that refers to her looks and then about what a great president she would have made - I doubt the same would hold true if it were about a man.
That's all.

(59,508 posts)Usually adding how energetic he was or surprise that he could give an excellent speech. Also, consider how many comments are made on how Obama looks great.
Here, the fact that HRC DOES look healthy, but and SANE is what triggers that comment. Not sexism. FOR many, it is reassuring to see her looking as she does.

(37,748 posts)During the Obama administration, there were often OPs, comments and responses in regard to how well he carried a particular suit or casual look,
Not trying, eh?

(1,206 posts)Apparently no one understands what I'm trying to say.
Suffice it to say that if I started an OP with a photo of Hillary I wouldn't comment on her looks, I'd probably say something about how talented or competent she was and then lead into what a waste that she didn't become president. I don't see why or how her looks have anything to do with it.
But, that's just me I guess.

(10,667 posts)Taking on the pro-covid opposition head-on. Enlisting support troops and organizing messaging from gov't and medicine and business. Weekly calls with Merkel (and others, but Merkel especially) to compare notes and encourage each other. Would have been awesome. So many lives would have been saved in the US as well as the world, as so many other countries would have followed her leadership.

Among other motives for the Russians to nudge our elections was a desire not to have Clinton setting policy at the State Department.

(13 posts)We democrats are very culpable for soaking up all the stupid Republican talking points against Hillary or at least making us lukewarm about supporting her. I voted for her enthusiastically but so many Democrats were echoing the inane, unjustified and non reasoned criticisms of Hillary.
