Is it important or necessary that Schumer and McConnell communicate with each other?

Is it best they just wait until the election and let the people decide how to handle the Trump problem?

Because McConnell does not see a problem.

It would do no good to have a strategy if people's worst fears came to fruition?

What would they do if Trump challenges the election results, if he loses?

What would they do if he acts in a totally insane way and does something totally unpredictable? Because he is not mentally stable.

Is there any reason for Schumer and McConnell to try and communicate between now and election day?

Moscow Mitch is the problem. He needs to be removed, or at the very least, demoted.

but we'll have to see. If he does deign to talk to Schumer, it'll be because of the Amy Effect.

even if he retains his seat there is a very good chance the republicans lose the majority by a lot...and McConnell becomes insignificant and all the crap he inflicted upon the Dems will come back to bite him on the ass...good

behind the scenes than we are led to believe - more so in the Senate than the House though.

but just because we don't see it doesn't necessarily mean it doesn't happen.

Perhaps I'm just confusing the Senate of the past with the Senate of today.

and if he still has a modicum of political savvy left in his whites-only mind then he should listen to Schumer and do something positive...what are the odds???

about extending benefits, Mitch has known all along that he was going to do it.

I'm not sure he would have if it weren't an election year and especially HIS election year - and not for nothing, but red states are some of the hardest hit and he knows that his people will eventually hold him accountable if he stands in the way of helping 'regular' Americans.

both Chambers are,for the most part, run by Staffers. The Republican Senior Staffers are hard core Tea Party types and have alienated the Democratic Staffers because of zero honesty. You poison the well,it takes a long time to regain trust.

Harry Reid's Chief of Staff has being saying just how bad the relationship is in the Present Senate dealing with the McConnell and leadership staffs. Pure ugly.

is November's election, sadly. McConnell and the rest of the Senate GOP don't care what he does.

Schumer should remain engaged in normal Senate legislative business to try to do as much good as he can for the country in the meantime and, hopefully, Senate Majority Leader Schumer won't even have to worry about dealing with Mitch at all next year.
