Rush Limbaugh advised young people to ignore calls for social distancing, telling his audience they should “go out and live their lives” and “spread herd immunity,” Mediaite reports.

The scientists don't think personal immunity lasts more than 6 months with coronavirus in one report last month. So herd immunity may never happen.

And - it isn't herd immunity that lasts only 6 months, it is - at best - personal immunity that lasts 6 months. And they don't even know if antibodies create immunity at all.

We have never yet developed a vaccine for a coronavirus (e.g. SARS, MERS, or the strains of the common cold that are caused by coronaviruses).

They are testing vaccines on people and so far in one case people are developing antibodies. More antibodies than those who came down with covid. How long those antibodies last we do not know.
