Zach Price, the rear tire change for Ryan Blaney's No. 12 team, got crushed between Blaney's car and Poole's while trying to avoid the pileup. Price suffered a leg injury of some kind but quickly crawled away towards the wall to avoid being hit by any other cars.

Price was seen smiling and laughing, giving a thumbs-up as he was loaded into an emergency response vehicle. Curtis Thompson, rear tire changer on Lajoie's No. 32 team moved over to the No. 12 team after Price was injured. Team Penske provides the pit crew for the No. 32 Go Fas Racing team.
