(14,489 posts)We've argued that issue many times since tRump came down the golden escalator because the press and social media trolls have normalized his behavior since day 1.
If I recall correctly, it's been concluded that a full consumer general purchasing strike for a month or so might actually get their attention, but U.S. consumers will never have the will to do that.
I do agree that no U.S. president should communicate with the global general public via social media ever again.

Snake, the fascistic right are calling for stopping the media from reporting the news. We're the people who protect the freedom of the press. We even wrote it into the Constitution, we think it's that important.
Our role as citizens is of course to refuse to reward bad coverage with our attention and to inform ourselves properly.
