It is nauseating, isn't it? Hardworking Americans trying to pay rent, raise their kids, feed their family, and just get some rest, are treated as if they are literal enemies of the United States simply because they disagree with Trump politically. Trying to have a mature conversation about this country's past is tantamount to "hating America."

This while Trump was and is silent (and therefore complicit) in Russian bounties on American soldiers. While his supporters say they'd rather be Russian than a Democrat.

But this is how it always is. From Goebbels to McCarthy to Trump.

2. Fascist, nationalist rhetoric at its best. Nothing new.

He is, in effect attacking the country while he says things like that.

A large part of his speech, with just slight adjustments, was a reveal about what is has done and intends to do. Projecting it on the Left is a diversion and some of his phrases are subtle programming for the trumpbots. They don't really understand these kinds of things at all.

It is amazing though how someone could get this far even on JUST words. His divisive rhetoric is all a made up show. If you look at what he has done, (or others have done FOR him) it is clear that the acts are destructive in one way or another or meant to reward his cronies. Even the MAGAts get nothing tangible and live on propaganda that feeds their beliefs.

I think that indicates a growing gap between consensus reality and the beliefs and world view of his devotees. You can have beliefs that differ with consensus, but when they distort, overshadow or even destroy the consensus, you have a world of trouble and chaos in store.
