From when I was in college and you weren't allowed to use a calculator because not everybody could afford one.

The numbers of cases are having a logarithmic rise.

I think I remember how to do those.

Idiots think they are following a great wizard.

They're in the wrong storyland. Their "wizard" is hiding behind a curtain, using smoke, mirrors, and a megaphone.

You need to be able to move anything that restrains movement out of the way. Would you rather move one shopping cart - or a whole train? Sheesh.

unless the audience is skinny preteen kids, most adults won't even fit. The audience is going to be packed in tight as sardines. There's no elbow room, no room for shoulders, hips or thighs, so everyone is going to be rubbing right up to the people beside them. There's not even enough space between chairs to drape a sweater

Trump couldn't have ordered a better job of guaranteeing that the corona virus would be spread if he had planned it on purpose.

On the mountain. You know he’s going to suggest it, wants to be sure there is a crowd supporting the idea. It’ll be a photo op to zero in on a packed section of the crowd holding a preprinted banner. Or something like that. I’d love if when he brings it up there’s just crickets.

after the brief shutdown period?

Expect that to rise.

Maybe as it starts becoming more real to more people, a president insidiously requiring people, many of whom no doubt thought they could establish at least some distance, to sit packed shoulder to shoulder will seem more newsworthy.

But this genuinely evil betrayal by a president of his own voters is right now.
