Police officer filmed punching black woman at Miami International Airport

The police department in Miami-Dade has dismissed two officers after one punched a black woman at Miami International Airport.

The department ordered an investigation into the incident on Wednesday night when a video – dated 1 July – was shared online.

Miami-Dade Police Director Alfredo Ramirez III wrote on Twitter that he was “shocked and angered” at the video, which showed an argument between two masked cops and one black woman.

Mr Ramirez III said on Wednesday that the video had been sourced via a police bodycam at the scene.

And she didn’t head butt him, she got in his face though. He should be fired and charged.

The thing that I couldn’t believe still from the protests is how the police don’t care about beating women, they brutalized females as much as males. Just really bothers me because I was taught to never ever hit a woman.

The officer who threw the punch can be heard telling his colleagues that “she headbutted me”, despite the video suggesting otherwise.
In old days pre video era , the police would have 100% been believed that she did attack him and headbutt him.
Glad the camera showed the truth. Sick what happened aren’t they suppose to defuse not attack ?
