If Trump is pardoned, he can later be forced to help prosecute his criminal associates.

Bear in mind-when someone is pardoned, they can no longer plead the 5A while being questioned about
what they'd been pardoned for.

(they can no longer be criminally charged, so there would be no possibility of self-incrimination)

However, he *will* still be subject to jail for defying a subpoena and/or refusing to answer questions under oath- no
pardon issued by Pence would apply to events happening after Inauguration Day, 2021.

He'll rat out his gang in a heartbeat before he'd do a day in jail.

Biden's DOJ will go to town on these treasonous assclowns, and it will be glorious to see...

According to what I have read, he's already done that in the past and gained immunity for it. He has been a rat fink.

Experienced!

Putie will give Trump an allowance that is just enough to barely subsist on.

Melania will have to have a wardrobe of furs to keep her warm during those Moscow winters. Woildnn't want her kidneys to get cold.

Under oath you have to tell the truth. A good prosecutor KNOWS the answer, before he asks the question.

We have to really dig deep, there many be MANY ways to skin this cat. (My apologies for that reference. NO CATS were harmed in the typing of this response...)

No Pence-issued pardon would apply to that, as it would happen after any pardon was issued.

He will face three choices if subpoenaed:

1: Refuse to testify, and become subject to imprisonment for contempt of court.

2: Testify honestly (as if!), and send one or more of his cronies up the river.

3: Lie like a carpet on the stand, and face perjury charges.

Sounds like a win-win situation to me.

I thought that he could only be pardoned for crimes that he has already been convicted of.

If that's the case, how about all of the crimes that he has not been accused/ indicted/ tried/ convicted for??? That list is VERY LONG.

Someone please clarify this for me.

President Gerald R. Ford's Proclamation 4311, Granting a Pardon to Richard Nixon

...Now, THEREFORE, I, GERALD R. FORD, President of the United States, pursuant to the pardon power conferred upon me by Article II, Section 2, of the Constitution, have granted and by these presents do grant a full, free, and absolute pardon unto Richard Nixon for all offenses against the United States which he, Richard Nixon, has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 20, 1969 through August 9,1974.

What a mooted Trump pardon cannot do is immunize him against acts committed after him or
his pardoner (Pence) leaves office.

After January 20th, if Trump perjures himself under oath, he can go to jail for perjury.

He cannot claim immunity against self-incrimination because he would no longer be subject to criminal charges
for his actions while in office, thus he must testify about same (if subpoenaed), or face contempt charges.

He could even dime out Pence!
