Plus, we can have another knothead like the magabomber shut down Post Offices.

I plan to go in and in person early vote. I will wear a mask, gloves and goggles. I know that once the scanner counts my vote, that is it, no tricks being played over whether my signature on a mailin ballot is legit. The DNC, Florida Democrats and the Biden campaign must have trained poll watcher in place to insure that every vote is counted.

I'm thinking about adding a disposable rain poncho. I don't care if it's 100° I want to be covered. I'm even considering an umbrella like the queen of England uses, the birdcage umbrella. You can use it like a shield over your face and still see where you're going.

To vote by mail in NC you have to be able to print out an application for a ballot, mail the application in and wait. I don't have a way to do that right now and I'm pretty sure that there are several NC voters in the same boat.

Ordinarily, I like the experience of standing in line with my fellow citizens. That was pre covid. It's time for contingency plans.

Call your Dem precinct officer and ask for a printed request. The County Dem offices need to make them available for those without printers.

Voldemort installed a strict signature matching software which is used on every mail in ballott and the instructions are to discard them if they aren't 100% matches. This caused well over 100,000 votes to be rejected and is why Scott is in DC. If Nelson had retained the seat he actually won, Mike Pence would have voted to break the tie or MAYBE we could have moved the 1 extra Senator? So this really matters. Early voting is the way to go in FL, they don't use the signature matching for that and you can vote at any open polling place which includes all libraries.

Oh, when I was calling the list of Democrats who had sent in ballots which were rejected, not one of them knew about it. Think they are stone cold liars when they say they notify the voters immediately and I don't expect anything different now that mini-me's in charge.

hand verified by a ballot committee, party aligned if primary and bi partisan if a general. Signatures on the security envelope are compared to the voter's registration signature.

I once signed my security envelope improperly - the signature was supposed to be on the flap after it was sealed (so you write across the edge of the flap to show if it has been tampered with) and I signed first and then sealed.

My entire ballot package was returned to me with a new set of envelopes and instructions, to allow me to recast my vote. If there was not enough time for it to arrive by mail, I could drop it off at the Elections Office.

I am really glad that you posted. A person that has been on the front lines and saw the tricks that are used to invalidate mailin ballots. It wouldn't surprise me if the signature match software us used almost exclusively in heavily democratic precincts.

How many people's signature would pass an exact match? I know that my signature changes based upon the angle of the pen, whether I am in a hurry, the distance that I have to bend over, ect.

At in person early voting, even if my signature is questioned, I have several pieces of ID on the spot to confirm who I am - I can't do that with a mailin ballot.

So, I will do mailin ballots when I am ok with either candidate, as was the case in the local special election (two Dems), but for important elections, it is in person early voting for me.

But, speaking as an older person, I suspect if we looked at the numbers used to create that chart, the infections in Florida's elderly are still quite shocking. It's just that infections in younger people have gone out the roof.

I'm very lucky at 72 to still be quite mobile. I feel heartbreak for those helpless ones in nursing homes.

caught it first. Now it is moving on to the rest. Does this mean that it has mutated to be more successful with younger people?

Or, having infected so many older folks, the younger ones are now more available.

Or, older folks have learned to be more cautious now, while younger ones fooloshly are not since they think only old folks are vulnerable?

Woody Johnson
United States Ambassador to the United Kingdom

Robert Wood "Woody" Johnson IV (born April 12, 1947) is an American businessman and diplomat who is currently United States Ambassador to the United Kingdom. He is a great-grandson of Robert Wood Johnson I (co-founder of Johnson & Johnson). With his brother, Christopher, he is the owner of the New York Jets of the National Football League.

Johnson was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, United States. He is the son of Betty (Wold) and Robert Wood Johnson III, president of Johnson & Johnson for four years. Johnson grew up with four siblings, Keith Johnson, Billy Johnson, Elizabeth "Libet" Johnson, and Christopher Wold Johnson, in affluent areas of northern New Jersey, and attended the Millbrook School. He graduated from the University of Arizona. Johnson then worked menial summer jobs at Johnson & Johnson with the expectation of ascending to the top of the family business.

Typical Trump sycophant. People like Johnson simply use tRump to retain right-wing power for the wealthy.

Tea Party congressman. But he's up for election this year. Schumer, of course, has endorsed his opponent.

Beware his name, Tom Reed. He plans on running for governor in '22. Trying to ditch the Tea Party label and present himself as a moderate. Brags about being a member of the Congressional problem solvers. Votes with Trump agenda over 95% of the time. Said Trump committed no impeachable offense. Votes against health care and Social Security every time.

Flashes a big smile and plays up a nice guy public image. Very smooth at presenting negatives as if they were positives.

I want to see him not just defeated this year, but totally crushed so he can never run again for anything.
