Trump pulling troops out of Germany

https://www.forbes.com/sites/alasdairlane/2020/06/16/trumps-plan-to-pull-us-troops-out-of-germany-explained/#751189457c7a

He's saying it's to save money. I think it's so he has more soldiers here to attack peaceful protesters. Trump has never made much of a secret of his desire to be a brutal strongman dictator.

Now I read he's deploying the NATIONAL GUARD for his fucking rally. for his hitleresque, deadly fucking rally.

I think my BP just inched up a few notches and as I write I'm in the virtual waiting room for my doctor appointment.

thoughts? Sometimes I fear I'm going over the edge of paranoia, but I never conceived of how bad he is even though I knew he would be a catastrophe as president. Stealing babies, caging them (now they're poisoning them with disinfectant), alienating every single ally we have, the corruption and the way it continues unstopped. No, I didn't know it would be this bad.

Anyhow. talk me down if you can, or tell me I'm not crazy. Thanks DU

Pootie moved troops to his western border. This was coordinated by America's two worst enemies . . . Putin and Trump.

this is certainly the consensus and makes sense as well.

it's not reassuring but discounts my nasty imagination at least.

It seems like the desire for power and power itself makes people like them go insane and turns them into monsters.

IF trump ends up getting his way on this, it will present some very complex logistical challenges - it's not just about moving soldiers from one place to another, it also involves buildings, armaments, heavy equipment (maintenance equipment, tanks, planes, helicopters, etc.), and all the rest of the infrastructure that's been built up since 1945.

This is not a matter of waving a wand and suddenly all the soldiers who were in Germany are flying back to the U.S. It will require months of planning to carry out.

In fact, one of the reasons that our overseas bases have remained in place all these years is because closing any of them would present some significant problems in finding employment for all those bodies if they were brought back to the U.S. all at once. It also would leave a significant hole in the local economies where the troops are stationed.

In any case, worrying about troops from Germany being deployed against us here is completely unrealistic.

The only thing any of us need to worry about is making sure we're doing everything we can to vote trump out of the presidency this November.
