It seems to some who are watching it all that journos are deliberately targeted for violence in some instances, despite showing identification and equipment.

(115,681 posts)because the arresting officer was a member of the state police. I'm sure the governor has learned who the officer is but any disciplinary action would have to be taken by that agency. As to other incidents, they'd also be handled by whoever was in charge of the police force in question, but the fact that journalists and photographers were arrested or harassed will make it more likely that there will be some consequences, possibly civil litigation as well.
