I know, it seems that way to me, too - the time these days just runs together. From what we saw, it looks like he lives close to Bill - and he was funny, something we can certainly use.

God, I am in worse shape than I realized.

At least I know why...a combination of my little dog's sudden very, very, very poor health, my poor health, Covid and Dear Leader still lives. That is not a good combo for anyone.

I need a big dose of Leno! If I could drink heavily, I would.

And I'm so sorry you're not well, as well as your pup! I'm fortunate, I still have a sinus infection, but I'm not anxious to go back to the doctor - and my 14-year-old pup is doing fine except he desperately needs grooming and a haircut. It's finally getting warm here in the Northeast.

And I never thought I'd say it, but I'm most looking forward to Jay Leno, as well. We sure need some humor to distract us from the unrelenting bad news. And I could probably use a drink, as well - but the momentary distraction isn't worth it for me, I passed the milestone of 11 years sober a month ago come Saturday.

You have willpower. I can't since I get a 5 day migraine after two when I used to be able to drink anyone under the table. I get daily migraines but can control them with Botox and without booze. Basically I had no choice.

My dog is not going to live much longer and I am a wreck already...way beyond the Basket Case level. We live alone and have her whole life. I just gave her a haircut a month ago and she was perfectly OK. Even Xanax isn't helping at this point. This is a horrible time for tissues to be in short supply.

Since it was my habit to drown everything. But it wasn't willpower, I was lucky to find a women's AA meeting and a wonderful woman who became my sponsor who told me what to do and supported me through some pretty rough times. She passed away over a year ago and I miss her still - but she left me with what I need going forward.

And I can absolutely identify with your feelings about your dog. When I lost my other dog in 2007, a little guy who was always with me who I adopted from rescue, I completely drowned my misery. I was very fortunate that I still had my puppy who needed me. And vet's offices are still open as far as I know. I last took my pup in back in March for a recheck (skin condition) and they took the dog while I had to wait in my car and talk to the vet over the phone. But I was glad that I went since they sent him home with two prescriptions and I know that I can call in if I have to. Hang in there and I'm hoping that things turn around for you. I've been there...

I went through is before and it was Hell for a long, long time. If it weren't for the migraines I would probably be asking you to be my sponsor sooner than later.

I was talking to my friend who's a success story - she got sober, went back to school and got her Master's in social work so she can help others, was supposed to graduate last week - and we're worried about how many won't make it through this crisis. I represent two beginners' groups and we have had no in-person meetings since early March. Around here, only groceries and gas stations are open - and liquor stores! A few restaurants are offering take-out, but that includes drinks for those which have bars! That doesn't bode well since they're not only asking for more DWIs, but it's a violation of open container laws. And I have had bad sinus headaches, but I've learned that a drink would only make me feel worse.

Unless it's between Bill and Jay Leno if Leno sneaks into Bill's yard again!

Did not know that he is a president of that group. He often writes columns in TIME about foreign affairs. At least, I think it is the same..

Thank you for keeping up with the appearances.
