Fox News host Ainsley Earhardt argued on Sunday that churches in Michigan should reopen to celebrate Mother's Day even though the state is still under stay-at-home orders due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Earhardt spoke to her co-hosts from her New York home where she is locked down with her family.
"We're talking about churches wanting to get back out there, wanting to open up," Fox News co-host Pete Hegseth said. "What's your message to pastors, to people that want to be back in church."
"Oh, my goodness!" I miss our church. I miss our friends there. I miss our ministers and just the music and everyone being together."

(3,370 posts)They want the LOOK of being Christian. If they are pastors, I'm sure many want that sweet, sweet collection plate as much as they want the Lawd.
It always amazes me how much many Christians seek to box God in. I'm a Catholic. I go to a Lutheran church. I believe. I just don't think God requires asses in pews. These people want me to believe that the dude who created the entire freaking universe and all creation is suddenly unable to function unless you visit Him in some fancy house? Bullshit.

(21,563 posts)churches here are doing online/phone based services. anyone who want so to pray and worship can do so. this "open the churches" is nothing more than culture wars baiting to create discontent.

Besides which, Churches were specifically exempted.
The original order in March exempted churches.

Christ doesn't need you to be in a special building. If you actually read the bible you would know that.

6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Seem like some people need to detox.

I don't hear her complaining about the church in NYC where she's holed up, probably because there's no way she'd attend these days.

(43,333 posts)but then says, it is because they have 72,000 people!!
2 massive things wrong with that
1. The county has 1.3 million people (it is suburban Detroit, the church is in Southfield)
2. IF its was only 72,000 people in terms of population and had 900 deaths, that is 1.25% of ALL people already dead.
At a nationwide level, at that death rate, the US would have 4.14 MILLION deaths already, and would be tracking to probably 13 plus million deaths (maybe a lot more)
IDIOT!!!!
