C'mon Trump, TAKE IT!!! What do you have to lose!

https://www.facebook.com/vicenews/videos/220198912535006/

I know it's facebook but VICE has this great mashup of Trump hawking hydroxychloroquine. (If you don't watch the whole video here, do FF to 3:24. It's pretty funny )

ANYWAY . . . I think he needs to put his metaphorical money where his gigantic, repetitive, poorly-educated mouth is and TAKE THE HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE since he has now been exposed to CV19. In fact, I think he should take a BUNCH of it, just to be sure.

Anti-malarial drug Trump touted is linked to higher rates of death in VA coronavirus patients, study says
Patients treated with hydroxychloroquine and an antibiotic combination received no benefit in rates of death or in use of a ventilator

It's interesting (!) to me that hydroxychloroquine is NOT listed as a malaria medication. (It is used to
treat lupus and similar disorders, however.) Remember that there are two different types of malaria
and only a blood test will identify which is present and the best method of treatment.

From website: "The most common antimalarial drugs include:

Artemisinin-based combination therapies (ACTs). ACTs are, in many cases, the first line treatment for malaria. There are several different types of ACTs. Examples include artemether-lumefantrine (Coartem) and artesunate-amodiaquine. Each ACT is a combination of two or more drugs that work against the malaria parasite in different ways.

Chloroquine phosphate. Chloroquine is the preferred treatment for any parasite that is sensitive to the drug. But in many parts of the world, the parasites that cause malaria are resistant to chloroquine, and the drug is no longer an effective treatment.

Other common antimalarial drugs include:

Combination of atovaquone and proguanil (Malarone)

Quinine sulfate (Qualaquin) with doxycycline (Vibramycin, Monodox, others)

Mefloquine

Primaquine phosphate

So tRUMP jumped the gun and invested a lot of money in hyping his bullshit. But worst of all he set back valid research quite a bit... I don't worry about harming tRUMP, he'll do it all by himself...
