Every government agency is given corrupt administrators and its budget slashed.

This happens not just with Trump, but EVERY TIME the Republicans get power. ANTI-government, ANTI-taxes, remember? Destroy by destroying belief in.

Nevertheless, in the past the committed professionals of the CDC have done a magnificent job containing disease not only in the US but working with and providing leadership to othernations to stop it overseas before it gets here and to stop it in other nations.

SARS1, a much more lethal killer than this one but unable to spread as secretly, managed to Spread to over two dozen nations, but killed only 8000 people, was eventually controlled so well that it disappeared. When it finally managed to get into the United States, it infected eight people and none died. That is what the CDC is supposed to do.
