there were many respondents who voted for Trump but did not want to admit that when they were polled.
Does anyone know if the pollsters have come up with something to combat this for this year?

... Stacy Abrams (I think), and others were shown to win in the exit polls but lost
when the votes were counted. Not that this doesn't happen sometimes but most
people answer WELL CONDUCTED POLLING QUESTIONS correctly because they
don't ask for names.

(70,289 posts)Election rigging using electronic voting machines is "baked into the cake" ever since they
passed HAVA (help america vote act). Now, you can see their panic when voting by mail is
brought up.
Trump all but admitted that the electronic voting machines along with Russia's help (who
worked on the voting machines and the central tabulators' hardware and software for their
operating systems) put him into the White House. (Which he walked back very shortly after-
wards.)
