(58,766 posts)since I don't get refunds, my bank info wasn't included, and the IRS took precedence over my direct deposit SS account, apparently.
Now, it appears they are going to snail mail me a check. Was supposed to have mailed out on Fri the 24th. We'll see.

(31,412 posts)since under my 2018 return I would have received a check for the full $1200. Last year--2019--was very different and won't be the same for 2020, either-- but I'll be lucky to get some reduced amount.

(6,152 posts)break up into owe and don't owe.
I owe, so I'm putting it off. Was hoping that the stimulus check would cover it... 2 more months before I have to come up with the money.
Fingers crossed.

(5,695 posts)We e-filed rather late at night and of course ended up making a mistake that we discovered a few days later. So we ended up owing 1k instead. (it did seem a bit odd that we were getting THAT much money back after only adjusting withholdings after owing 2k last year)
So according to the IRS site, our stimulus money will be deposited on April 30th (now that they have our bank info. lol). Sadly, the IRS will be getting a $3300 check mailed right back to them. ($2300 initial refund and $1000 taxes owed).
I have already cleaned out much of my Home Depot shopping cart to adjust to this new reality
