in which they use ultraviolet light to kill an alien infestation on a planet. Let's hope it doesn't give Trump any ideas.
The Enterprise floods the colony with ultraviolet light from an array of satellites, killing the creatures on the planet and purging the parasites from the survivors.

The werewolves (lycans) managed to contrive bullets which released ultra-violet light once they had penetrated a vampire, which would kill it.

Kirk's brother and Spock had been victims of the creatures.
When they surmised that the creatures were avoiding light, and Spock had been infected, "Bones" used the full spectrum of blinding light to kill the creatures and rid Spock of the painful infection. Then it turns out that only ultraviolet was needed. Fun story, but someone needs to remind trump it's sci-fi, as in fiction.
