Similar difference on Instagram...
Now is the time for ALL Bernie supporters to follow Joe on both venues, to support Joe and to tell everyone they know that this is what they are doing...
EDIT
I had forgotten about the bots and that certainly accounts for many of them; regardless it is still the time to ask everyone to come together and support Joe...period...No matter what.

(41 posts)Especially in the 18 to 50 range, which are more likely to be online and using social media sites like twitter.
Also from what I have seen quite a few followers from other countries loved Bernie, so they may make up a fair chunk of the twitter base, who knows.

(58,785 posts)most of Sanders' supporters already planned to vote for Biden, I'm guessing they must be cautiously to quite pleased at what's happening. Biden and Obama didn't mince words. They want their enthusiastic support.
As for the chaff, they're separating themselves into little piles in dark places, no need for any help. Some seem to be trying to retain belief in one they already see as their ex-leader, rejection of Biden a prime virtue, others angrily slamming Sanders' betrayal of them. Almost all are currently promising to reelect Trump through protest votes for some vague green candidate they can't identify and a few by voting directly for Trump. Inevitable and big oh-well? Maybe some will eventually follow the light and become reengaged. Hope so.

(31,097 posts)(this is a clear Bernie progressive responding) saying:
"What do you care, you got yours! Better work hard, Joe is gonna need all the help he can get"
It was a response to me also as I had responded...This is the kind of person who will destroy us all if given half a chance.
Hell, not voting for Joe is actually going to KILL people if he loses.

(58,785 posts)On top of it, a lot of people drawn to the messages of populist leaders have a tendency to resentment, victim syndromes, distrust and suspicion of others, even conspiracist explanations. Don't know about this one, but you can't expect those who are like that to deal with political reverses well. And for them elections are mostly a long series of severe disappointments. I wouldn't make too much of it.
Besides, for Twitter, and the situation, this was pretty mild. Wouldn't be surprised if he didn't end up voting for Joe to slam the Republicans. We'll see how Sanders does.

(95,237 posts)Those figures reversed are about the proportion of votes between the two.
The punditry has fallen into the lazy habit of taking activity on Twitter as a solid indicator of actual public feeling, simply because that can be seen at a glance, whereas discovering the feelings and intentions of actual feelings requires some labor, to the results of which 'intelligence guided by experience' must then be applied.

(29,146 posts)if bernie's supporters want to follow Joe, great. If not, fine. All that matters to me is whether they vote for him, which I'm confident the vast majority will.
