Politics of peace

You know, I just sat here thinking on this situation between Romney the Republican and Obama the Democratic President.

War is a hell of a lot easier to start, than peace is to broker. It is far easier to start one than it is to end one. I don't really know why that is.

Why is it that trade between neighbors is easy, but trade between nation states and their neighbors so difficult. I could go to my neighbor right now, and ask that they don't let their dog shit in my yard anymore, and nine times out of ten, they will agree that they shouldn't do that.

Now you have Romney raving about religion and how President Obama is weak for not pretty much setting off WWIII, and while it isn't acceptable discourse, people aren't asking a fundamental question. Why is starting a war viewed as strength, when peace requires so much more effort, strength and determination?

That was a great quote from a terrible move (Costner's character in 'The Postman' said it toward the end of the flick). Isn't it interesting that Romney is so anxious to throw us into another war while neither he nor anyone in his family has ever served?

That's what it looks like to me from where I stand - they want a war that they aren't serving in.

These types of people that push war believe that if they display a dominant side to their personalities, that their followers believe it will translate into dominance in finance, or where ever they feel they lack dominance, to them. Also, their cronies get rich.

I deeply love the American people, of which I am one, so there is no reason to dispute that I have self-interest when it comes to Americans, and I have disgust for people that try to warp the President of the United States in things he states. Romney lied, warped what the President of the United States said, for political gain. My mother, whom is a conservative confronted me on this. That Romney was on the side of right. I'll tell you what I told her.

If you bash the President of the US during a diplomatic crisis, when American lives were lost, and mock the President of the United States, you have lost your mind to rabid partisanship. Rabid Partisanship does not lead to cool heads, and sound policies.
