Democrats salivate over Obama coming off sidelines The Hill

The decision by Bernie Sanders to suspend his campaign means former President Obama is about to get back into the political spotlight.

Sources close to Obama and Biden say the two men have spoken "quite frequently," as one put it, in recent days as Biden pivots to the general election. Obama has also spoken to Sanders in recent days, according to two sources with knowledge of the conversations.


The former president has stayed out of the Democratic primary, but sources say he is anxious to endorse his former vice president, Joe Biden, and become an active player in the general election campaign against President Trump.

Democrats across the country are also ready for his entry.

"IT IS TIME," Doug Landry, a former Hillary Clinton aide, wrote Wednesday, tweeting a cartoon image of Obama as superman. "RELEASE THE SUPER SURROGATE."


He's eager to go," said one source close to Obama. "He's been waiting for this election for almost four years.

That and "I'll be your Huckleberry" and the twirling of his liquor cup. Kilmer should have won the Academy Award for his acting (if he didn't) in that movie.

which is still vibrant..and Old Tucson - that has been rebuilt after a fire...

You mention some of the great scenes of the movie..can't you just see Obama saying to the pos.."I'll be your huckleberry" or "say when"....

..I am sorry Val Kilmer has been so ill...

We're excited about the possibility of President Obama's involvement in Joe Biden's campaign.

But we're not a bunch of rapey, drunken frat-boy Republicans "salivating" over......whatever it is rapey, drunken frat-boy Republicans salivate over.
