Maybe this would get people to realize it's not "just the flu" and take it seriously.

So terrible and people need to heed this warning from the mayor of Lombardy or Milan. A lot of insanely stupid and harmful people here clearly are not.

the documentaries by Stuart Ramsay as well as those of Alex Crawford on Sky News whenever I happen to see them. Both are excellent. This one by Stuart is particularly eerie.

We have not gone out of our yard since March 5th. And we aren't leaving any time soon. We send our grandson (who lives with us) out to do any necessary errands. We have made sure he understands that if I catch this damn bug there is about a 99% chance it will kill me since my lungs are already compromised.

The Mrs. spent the last two days making masks for our daughter (and her co-workers) who work in a Dr's office. I suspect that within the next few days she will be making some for us as well.

Kudos to our Governor for cooly and collectedly got an awful lot of people to stay home, closed non-essential businesses, worked out a system where restaurants could try and stay in business by providing curb-side takeaway (no inside dining) or delivery (no contact) and so on. He did it firmly but reasonably and explained why he was doing it.

I think I heard when I watched it tonight. Wow, I didn't know the turnover rate was so high. My relatives live all over Italy and I know their govt is a mess but I didn't know re-election was so rare.
