I don't know how but Trump has got to go now. Purposely sending defective medical
equipment to CA, short changing of some states of needed medical equipment,
paying no attention to the upcoming pandemic, trying to figure ways so that he
and or his family can make money off this crisis, his insane rants, and all the time
telling us and the governors that we should be grateful as this totally preventable
C-19 storm washes over the nation is just too much.
The House under Schiff can hold an impeachment hearing in the morning, vote in
the afternoon, and then send it to the senate for a vote to remove him the next day.
The man is an insane criminal and he will kill us all if given a chance.
We don't have until November and then January of 2021 to do something that piece of
shit needs gone now.

Trump, " ... a lot of good things are happening." https://www.nationalmemo.com/as-virus-toll-soars-trump-says-a-lot-of-good-things-are-happening/
Between 160 million and 214 million people in the United States could be infected over the course of the epidemic, according to a projection that encompasses the range of the four scenarios. That could last months or even over a year, with infections concentrated in shorter periods, staggered across time in different communities, experts said. As many as 200,000 to 1.7* million people could die.
And, the calculations based on the C.D.C.s scenarios suggested, 2.4 million to 21 million people in the United States could require hospitalization, potentially crushing the nations medical system, which has only about 925,000 staffed hospital beds. Fewer than a tenth of those are for people who are critically ill.

* I figured it at 3,960,000 dead

GALLIPOLIS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) Health officials in Gallia County reported its first coronavirus case and death Tuesday morning, bringing the statewide death total to at least seven.

Right in the heart of "Trump Country" Gallipolis, OH which is a little, very rural, very white, and a very
red town town on the OH river.

Unfortunately, the Dee-Bags can infect all the rest of us.

(5,128 posts)Problem is the Republicans apparently do not care. They like it the way it is. We have a mad "King George" and they are running with it. Appears though over time Rand Paul may have played a small role in messing that up for them.
Trump needs to be removed now!! He is endangering us all. He and his mal-administration have done nothing but f@# this up everyday. He has managed to surround himself with nothing but incompetent sycophants that for some reason oblivious to me are protecting him.
Very sad time for our nation.
We live in Texas and we are going to be next epicenter. We have the largest uninsured population in the country and our dear leadership here (Gov Abbott) refused to accept the Medicare expansion.
This is a nightmare. I do believe though many of the smart ones of us will survive, but we are going to lose many dear loved ones while it runs it course.
We live in a county where I am incredibly thankful for who is in charge. He was here when the Ebola crisis happened. He knows what he is doing. Problem is there is no federal assistance this time.
I do believe we will make it through this but there is 1st going to be a lot of death. There is just no way to get around it. Breaks heart deeply.
Mostly because this could have been stopped, it did not have to happen.
Stay strong everyone, stay safe and well.
Last and very not the least we thank the heavens everyday for DU. We have been here since the very early days and is an incredible resource for us all.

(8,906 posts)In the media there is plenty of complaining about him, but nobody calling for his removal. Rachel Maddow came closest in her tweet (calling out his inability to manage the issue and asking him to get out of the way). Since that tweet I have seen zero media follow up to it.
Without a movement to remove him nothing is going to happen. Nothing is going to change, it is just going to continue to be his daily, non-stop reality TV show while deaths rise. News reports say certain networks will "stop covering him" and then don't do it.
Impeachment is a fantasy. He can talk about not sending blue states life-sustaining medical supplies because their governors weren't nice to him and nobody in the news media says a damn thing about that being a sign that he needs to be removed. They just report how outrageous it is to say such a thing, and then run to his press conferences and give him his platform to feed suffering Americans more of his same old incoherent babble.
This is all bullshit. We have a remedy. The 25th Amendment article 4 would be the fastest way to remove him if Pence and the Cabinet would initiate the action. Pence and Cabinet should initiate that action. They are derelict for not initiating the action. They are supposed to be the backstop for this. They are responsible for his incompetent leadership in a time when their country desperately needs a competent leader. They deserve the first line blame. If the media would call out Pence and his Cabinet for their responsibility to America to invoke and apply the 25th Amendment then a movement for his removal could be started. The media should be putting this pressure on Pence every day, and then maybe we could actually see a movement start to remove him instead of just having Americans watch this stinking reality show every day of our fucked up lives.
